JUDGES 11:12 (Then Jephthah sent messengers to the Ammonite king with the question: “What do you have against me that you have attacked my country
Looking at the story of Jephthah from (JUDGES 12 verse 1 -3 , 1Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah. 2And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman. 3Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.
He was rejected because he was the son of a harlot. And verse 3:You can see that rejection made him mingle with the wrong crowd , which is not God plan for you ( JUDGES 11:3)
Ways To Tackle Rejection
- Place your identity in God: Embraces your in God( Ephesian 1 :5-6)
- Forgiveness: If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father in heaven will not forgive your sins.”( Math 6: 14-15). You have to forgive people that hurt you in the past, you cant let the past hinder your prayers due to unforgiveness. Remember forgiveness is not only a command but also a condition for receiving Gods forgiveness. Holding onto unforgiveness prevents us from experiencing the fullness of Gods mercy , grace and hinders our prayer.
- Focus on your strength: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4 vs 10).
- Trust God: Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the LORD! 14 Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the LORD( Ps 27:14).
MAY GOD BLESS HIS WORDS IN OUR HEART IN JESUS NAME AMEN
The first point stated here to tackle rejection is very important . It caps it all. Knowing ones identity gives you supremacy over rejection . Thank you ….
